Newcastle Jets host Melbourne Victory on Saturday in a pivotal game at the bottom of the Australian A-League.

The visitors currently sit 12th in the league, three points behind the Jets with a game in hand, setting up a six-pointer in the quest to not finish rock-bottom.

We say: Newcastle Jets 2-0 Melbourne Victory

Brebner's side are yet to record a victory away from home this season, and with the Jets creating a good amount of chances at the McDonald Jones stadium against Western United last time out, we predict the home side to convert some of those chances on Saturday and win this bottom-of-the-table clash.

Sydney FC vs. Melbourne City (Saturday, 8.05am)

Defending champions Sydney FC will seek a third consecutive A-League win on Saturday, as they welcome rivals Melbourne City to the Leichhardt Oval.

The visitors arrive just three points off the top of the table - still with two games in hand on the leaders - and hope to gain a measure of revenge for their Grand Final defeat to the hosts last August.

Having turned over the Sky Blues at AAMI Park earlier in the season, City are certainly in with a chance of pulling off another success on Saturday, with the visitors' scoring power potentially proving enough to breach Sydney's watertight defence.

The hosts, however, have returned to form in recent weeks and can take another useful point against one of their key rivals this season.

Adelaide United will be aiming to get back to winning ways when they host Western Sydney Wanderers on Saturday.

One point currently separates the two sides, with Adelaide United fifth in the A-League table and Wanderers in sixth position.

The home side have had a long rest since their last game which will boost their chance of winning this time out. This match has often been a high-scoring affair and is unlikely to change this Saturday.
