Sean Murray leaves Watford for Swindon Town

League One side Swindon Town sign Watford academy product Sean Murray from the Hornets on a one-year deal.

Swindon Town have announced the signing of Sean Murray from Watford on a free transfer.

The 22-year-old came through the ranks at Vicarage Road before breaking into the first team in 2011, going on to make 85 appearances for the club.

However, he has now brought an end to his 14-year association with the Hornets by joining League One side Swindon on a one-year deal, with the option of a further season.

Murray, who was entering the final year of his contract at Watford, spent last season on loan at Wigan Athletic, where he scored one goal in eight appearances.

Murray could make his debut for Swindon against Peterborough United on Saturday.
