Swansea sign Leroy Lita from Middlesborough on a three-year-deal.

Swansea have signed Leroy Lita from Middlesborough on a three-year-deal for £1.75m.

Lita is the first of an anticipated double signing for the Swans, with Wayne Routledge also expected to complete a move from Newcastle.

Swansea manager Brendan Rodgers praised both players, saying that they "fit the bill perfectly".

"Both players look good, look well and their fitness levels are high," Rodgers said.

"Leroy is a goal-scorer and has played in the Premier League as a young player.

"He is very hungry to return and offers that threat of his pace and power."

Rodgers has already broke the Premier League newcomers' transfer record by signing Danny Graham from Watford for £3.5m.
