Jonjo Shelvey will reportedly be made available for transfer next month after an alleged row with Swansea City chairman Huw Jenkins.
The 23-year-old midfielder's attitude was questioned by Jenkins after a run of five defeats in six games that cost manager Garry Monk his job and left the Welsh club teetering on the Premier League relegation zone.
According to The Sun, the owner's interrogation was "met with hostility, with the ace taking exception to being singled out".
Following the alleged row, Shelvey is said to be keen to leave the Liberty Stadium in January, with bids expected from Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United.
Shelvey moved to Wales from Liverpool in 2013 for £5m in a four-year deal.
