Report: Swansea City close to signing Nelson Oliveira

Swansea City are closing in on the signing of Portugal striker Nelson Oliveira on loan from Benfica, according to a report.

Swansea City are reportedly closing in on a deal to sign Portugal striker Nelson Oliveira on loan from Benfica.

The 23-year-old has made just one appearance for the Aguias this season, after being loaned out to Rennes last term.

Swansea manager Garry Monk is thought to want to bring in cover for Wilfried Bony, who will join up with Ivory Coast for January's Africa Cup of Nations.

According to BBC Sport, Oliveira will move to the Liberty Stadium on a short-term deal.

Oliveira has also been loaned out to Pacos Ferreira and Deportivo La Coruna during his time with Benfica.
