Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup has revealed that goalkeeper Michel Vorm is in the closing stages of agreeing a new deal at the Liberty Stadium.
The 28-year-old has been linked with a move away from the Welsh club and Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has been one particular manager reported to be keen on snatching the shotstopper.
"I haven't seen the piece of paper, but from what I have heard Michel is close to signing," the South Wales Evening Post quotes Vorm as saying.
"It's important for the club that such an important player who is already here signs a new contract because it's a boost for everybody."
Meanwhile, the Swans are preparing to face Everton tomorrow.
