Swansea City reportedly plan to unveil Michael Laudrup as their new manager later this week.

It is understood that Swansea City will name Michael Laudrup as their new manager later this week.

The Premier League club had reportedly narrowed down their shortlist to just two candidates, with the 47-year-old Dane and Blackpool boss Ian Holloway in the frame to succeed Brendan Rodgers.

Swans chairman Huw Jenkins has now identified Laudrup as the man to take the club forward and contract talks will begin imminently, according to Sky Sports News.

Laudrup, who represented both Real Madrid and Barcelona as a player, has been out of employment since resigning as Mallorca manager in 2011.
