Sunderland reportedly consider a bid for Blackburn Rovers defender Scott Dann following Wes Brown's recent injury.

Sunderland have reportedly outlined a move for Blackburn Rovers defender Scott Dann.

The Liverpool-born centre-back, who has had a question mark over his future with the Lancashire club since their relegation to the Championship, is believed to be open to a move back to the Premier League.

The Black Cats are thought to be interested in the 25-year-old as cover for Wes Brown, who picked up a knee injury a fortnight ago, according to Sky Sports News.

Reports have claimed that the North-East side are prepared to offer a £5m bid for Dann, who is thought to also have been scouted by Newcastle United, Southampton and Norwich City.
