Sunderland have reportedly offered striker Steven Fletcher to Marseille as they look to free up funds for other transfers.
The 28-year-old, who joined the Black Cats from Wolverhampton Wanderers for £12m in 2012, has fallen out of favour under Sam Allardyce, featuring just 10 times since he took charge at the Stadium of Light in October.
According to the Daily Mail, Allardyce has now confirmed that he does not see Fletcher as part of his future plans, paving the way for him to leave during the current transfer window.
The Scot has just six months remaining on his contract and Sunderland are now keen to rush through a deadline-day deal to avoid losing him on a free in the summer.
As well as Ligue 1 side Marseille, Fletcher is also said to be weighing up offers from clubs in China and Scottish Premiership outfit Celtic, although his £28,000-a-week wages could prove a stumbling block.
Fletcher has scored 23 times in 94 league appearances during his time in the North-East.
