Sunderland have reportedly reached an agreement to sign Jeremain Lens.
It is believed that the Black Cats recently failed with an initial bid for the Dynamo Kiev midfielder.
However, according to ESPN, a revised offer of £9m has been accepted by the Russian club, who have given the Netherlands international permission to travel to Wearside to discuss personal terms.
The 27-year-old has previously worked with Sunderland manager Dick Advocaat during his stint in charge of AZ Alkmaar.
Should the move be finalised, Lens will become the third player to move to the Stadium of Light following the arrivals of Sebastian Coates and Adam Matthews.
