Sunderland manager Martin O'Neill has refused to comment on speculation linking him with a move for Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Steven Fletcher.
The 25-year-old handed in a transfer request at Molineux today after becoming frustrated with the club's decision to reject several bids for his services.
Sunderland are believed to be one of the clubs to have had an offer turned down for Fletcher. However, following his side's 1-1 draw with Derby, O'Neill was not willing to discuss the wantaway Scot.
"We have certainly in pre-season found it a bit of a problem scoring goals," a coy O'Neill told Sky Sports News. "But I think we can rectify that."
Fletcher scored 12 goals in 32 Premier League appearances last season.
