Paolo Di Canio bolsters his backroom staff at Sunderland by appointing four new coaches.

New Sunderland manager Paolo Di Canio has appointed four coaches to his backroom staff at the Stadium of Light.

The Italian has recruited coach Fabrizio Piccareta, goalkeeping coach Domenico Doardo, fitness coach Claudio Donatelli and physiotherapist Giulio Viscardi.

The quartet all served under Di Canio during his stint in charge of League One outfit Swindon Town.

It has also been confirmed that coaches Steve Walford, Steve Guppy, Jim Henry and Seamus McDonagh have all left the Black Cats with immediate effect.

Di Canio was named the new Sunderland boss on Sunday evening.
