Fabio Borini: 'A win would change everything'

Sunderland striker Fabio Borini believes that three points against Everton would "change everything" in their attempts to remain in the Premier League.

Sunderland striker Fabio Borini has insisted that the Black Cats can still avoid relegation to the Championship.

The North-East club currently sit seven points adrift at the bottom of the Premier League table, but Borini believes that a win over Everton on Saturday can help instigate a change in fortunes at the Stadium of Light.

The 23-year-old told SAFSee: "It would change everything. It would change the mentality and bring a bit of positivity to the club. We have got three games against the teams that are just above us so it would give us confidence.

"But first we need to perform to win. That is what matters now. The other games will come after, and we need to play game by game, and be careful with what we do during the Everton game.

"After that, we can start to think about Man City."

The Italian, who is on a season-long loan spell from Liverpool, has scored six times in 33 appearances during the current campaign.
