Peter Crouch challenges Stoke City to win their next two home games and prove that they are capable of finishing in the top half of the Premier League this season.

Peter Crouch has insisted that Stoke City are capable of finishing in the top half of the Premier League this season.

Following Monday night's 1-1 draw at West Ham United, the Potters sit 14th in the table with 13 points from a possible 36.

So far, only five of Stoke's 12 league matches have been held at the Britannia Stadium, however Tony Pulis's men are now preparing for two homes games in five days against Fulham and Newcastle United.

Crouch has challenged his teammates to claim maximum points from the two matches in order to kick-start their campaign.

"A point at West Ham is deserved but with two home matches we have to start pushing up the league now," said Crouch.

"We have got to look at our home matches now. Our home form has been keen to our success. I'm sure we will continue with that.

"We should be looking at a top-10 finish. There's no reason why we can't achieve that and hopefully a good cup run. That's what we should be aiming for."

Crouch is Stoke's top scorer this season with five goals in 13 games in all competitions.
