Marko Arnautovic has revealed his delight after signing a new four-year contract with Stoke City.
The 27-year-old had been linked with a move away from the Britannia as he entered the final year of his contract with the Premier League outfit.
However, it was revealed on Wednesday afternoon that the Austrian international had penned a new long-term deal with the Potters, which will run until the summer of 2020.
The former Werder Bremen attacker, who scored 12 times in 40 appearances for Stoke last season, has said that he is "proud and thrilled" to have extended his contract with the English side.
"I am proud and thrilled to finally let you know that I am going to stay a Potter and will continue playing with my team and for my fantastic fans," Arnautovic posted on his official Instagram account. "I suppose sometimes it takes a bit longer to make the right decision and this one comes from my heart. My family and I could not be happier. Can't wait for the season to begin!"
Arnautovic joined Stoke from Werder Bremen in 2013 and has scored 19 times in 110 appearances for the Potters, including 16 goals in the Premier League.
