Jack Butland comes off crutches

Jack Butland stepped up his recovery from a fractured ankle earlier today by coming off crutches.

The Stoke City and England goalkeeper has required the walking aids ever since he suffered the complaint while in action against Germany in March.

However, despite being ruled out of this summer's Euro 2016, the 23-year-old has provided a positive update.

on the way back from seeing the surgeon, walked in with crutches, walked out without them! fracture healing really well! happy boy! ☺️😍💪🏼
