St Mirren boss Danny Lennon has praised his side's character following their 2-0 win at basement club Hearts.
John McGinn and Paul McGowan were on target for the visitors during what their coach described as a "big result".
He told BBC Sport: "There were a lot of questions asked of my players ahead of the game. Would they stand up to the crowd, would they stand up to the pressure?
"A lot of people thought we would come here and crumble but we stood tall. At times like this, character gets you through and I know that I have that in abundance in my dressing room."
The result moves the Buddies above Kilmarnock into 10th place in the Scottish Premiership.
