David Wotherspoon extends St Johnstone deal

St Johnstone midfielder David Wotherspoon agrees a two-year contract extension with the Scottish club.

David Wotherspoon has committed his future to St Johnstone by signing a new contract with the Scottish Premiership club.

The midfielder's previous deal had been due to expire at the end of the season.

However, the 27-year-old has now tied himself to McDiarmid Park until the summer of 2017.

In a brief statement on the club's official website, manager Tommy Wright said: "I'm pleased that David's signed on for another two years."

Wotherspoon joined the Saints from Hibernian two years ago.
