A report claims that Tottenham Hotspur are not currently focusing on bringing in a replacement for Hugo Lloris as they instead want to strengthen other areas.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino will reportedly not move to bring in a new goalkeeper in the summer transfer window, despite concerns over Hugo Lloris.

The French World Cup winner has endured a difficult campaign on the whole after making numerous high-profile errors, including a costly mistake late on to deny Spurs a point away to Liverpool on Sunday.

Lloris has also had difficulties off the field, having been fined £50,000 and given a ban from driving in September after admitting to a drink-drive charge.

According to the Daily Mail, however, a new number one is not on Pochettino's agenda ahead of next season as he instead wants so prioritise strengthening other areas of the field.

Tottenham are after two new central midfielders, a new attacker - possibly to replace Real Madrid-linked Christian Eriksen - a new left-back and a support striker for Harry Kane.

Pochettino apparently feels that focusing on a goalkeeper will be too much of a financial commitment, though another error in the remaining weeks of the season may change his stance.
