Former Real Madrid manager John Toshack believes that Gareth Bale will eventually leave Tottenham Hotspur for Spain.

Former Real Madrid manager John Toshack has claimed that Gareth Bale will eventually move to Spain.

The Tottenham Hotspur winger has been linked with a big-money switch to Madrid in recent months, while Barcelona are also thought to be interested in the 23-year-old Welsh international.

"He's up there with the Ronaldos and the Messis," Toshack told Punto Pelota. "He'll play for one of the two big clubs in Spain. He's made for the Champions League."

Toshack managed Madrid during two spells in the 1990s.
