Spurs to make new bid for Rossi
Tottenham Hotspur will make a new bid for Villarreal's £28m-rated striker Guiseppe Rossi.

Tottenham Hotspur will reportedly make a new bid for Villarreal's Guiseppe Rossi.

The London club attempted to sign the Italian striker during the January transfer window but their offer was rejected by the Spanish outfit.

However, Villarreal are now willing to listen to offers of around £28m for the 24-year-old, according to The Mirror.

Rossi was understood to be reluctant to make a move back to England after his spell with Manchester United, although he has been forced into a rethink after a move to Juventus or Barcelona failed to materialise.

Harry Redknapp and his chief scout watched Rossi in action on Friday night as the Italian scored the only goal in a 1-0 win over Everton in a friendly match.

Rossi scored 32 goals in 56 appearances for Villarreal last season, including 11 goals in the Europa League.
