Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for Tottenham Hotspur.
Having dropped down the pecking order at Camp Nou since the middle of August, Rakitic has been made available for transfer by the Catalan giants as they look to raise funds for new arrivals.
That has resulted in the 32-year-old being linked with a number of top European clubs, including Serie A title challengers Juventus and Inter Milan.
However, according to reports in Spain, Spurs are now regarded as the frontrunners for the Croatia international's signature.
The alleged development comes at a time when Barcelona have been credited with an interest in Tanguy Ndombele, who has struggled during his first campaign at Spurs.
Although their respective age and potential means that a straight-swap deal is unrealistic, Barcelona may be willing to include Rakitic in a part-exchange deal for Ndombele in order to reduce their financial outlay.
