While the England international has a contract until 2024, interest from elsewhere means that decisions regarding his future could be made during the summer.
The 28-year-old is reportedly in no rush to make a final call on whether he will attempt to depart the North Londoners or show a willingness to pen fresh terms.
According to The Athletic, Spurs are happy to go along with Kane's wishes at a time when they are attempting to finish in the top four of the Premier League standings.
The report claims that club officials intend to wait for Kane to make the first move regarding negotiations or requesting a new challenge elsewhere.
Kane produced his best performance of the season on Saturday as he netted a double during a 3-2 win at Manchester City, who are known to be admirers of his ability.
