Tottenham are lining up a move for young Ecuadorian left back Christian Ramirez, who has been dubbed 'the next Roberto Carlos'.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly planning a move for young left-back Christian Ramirez, who has been branded as 'the next Roberto Carlos'.

The 17-year-old Ecuadorian attracted the attention of Spurs after starring in the Under-17 World Cup, but isn't allowed to move from his present club until his 18th birthday in August.

Ramirez, who currently plays for native club Independiente Jose Teran, has visited North London for talks already, according to The Mirror.

The teenage defender will apparently cost Spurs a fee in the region of £1.5m.
