Napoli forward Fernando Llorente has reportedly emerged as a surprise transfer target for Tottenham Hotspur.
Having continually played second fiddle to Harry Kane for two seasons, Llorente left North London for Naples during the summer window.
However, with Kane having been ruled out until January with a hamstring injury, Spurs boss Jose Mourinho has been left to consider potential replacements.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Premier League outfit are contemplating an approach for the veteran Spaniard before the end of the month.
While the 34-year-old has been used on 21 occasions this season, all but three of his outings have come from the substitutes' bench.
Much could depend on whether Spurs are prepared to pay a fee for a player they allowed to leave on a free transfer just six months ago.
