Sergio Ramos believes that Luka Modric would improve the Real Madrid squad.

Real Madrid centre-back Sergio Ramos has admitted that Tottenham Hotspur attacking midfielder Luka Modric would improve the squad.

Modric has been tipped with a move to Real all summer, but the Spanish club are reportedly unwilling to meet Spurs' valuation demands.

"We've got a great squad, with amazing footballers, and one or two more will join," Sky Sports News quotes Ramos as saying.

"I like football and good footballers and Modric is one of them. He currently doesn't play in this team and I can't say any more than that. If he joins he'll bring something to the team."

Harry Redknapp recently revealed that Spurs promised Modric he could join Real this summer.
