Queens Park Rangers manager Mark Hughes is understood to be planning a last-minute transfer swoop for Tottenham duo Sebastien Bassong, Steven Pienaar and Wigan's Hugo Rodallega.
The Hoops had a bid for South Africa international Pienaar rejected earlier this month after failing to meet Tottenham's £2.5m asking price, but are believed to be eager to land the former Everton midfielder this winter.
Meanwhile, with Rodallega's contract expiring in the summer, Wigan boss Roberto Martinez could be willing to sell his star striker after he revealed his desire to leave the club earlier this week.
Hughes is also understood to be interested in shoring-up the club's defence with a move for out-of-favour Spurs centre-back Bassong, but there is believed to be a £1m difference in valuation between the clubs at this time.
