Newcastle United are reportedly firmly in the race to sign Napoli centre-forward Arkadiusz Milik.
The 26-year-old is widely expected to leave his Italian club this summer and had been strongly linked with Roma before a switch to the capital outfit broke down.
Tottenham Hotspur will allegedly meet with Milik's agent on Wednesday in the hope of agreeing a deal for the Poland international, who has less than 12 months to run on his current deal.
However, according to Corriere dello Sport, Newcastle are also in the hunt for the striker and could beat Spurs to his signature by potentially offering regular first-team action.
Milik scored 14 times in 35 appearances at club level last term and will allegedly be available for a transfer fee in the region of £17.5m plus a potential £6m in bonuses.
Steve Bruce's side have already boosted their attack this summer with the signing of Callum Wilson from Bournemouth.
