Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane in line for record new contract?

A report claims that Harry Kane is in line to double his wages at Tottenham Hotspur following another prolific campaign in front of goal.

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly decided to make Harry Kane the best-paid player in the club's history.

It is believed that the striker's current deal, which he signed in February 2015, is worth £50,000 a week.

However, having scored 28 goals so far this season to go alongside the 31 that he fired in last term, Spurs are keen to reward the 22-year-old by doubling his wages, according to the Daily Mail.

The report adds that Tottenham's current limit is set at £80,000 a week, but they are prepared to break the bank for Kane to warn off potential suitors.

Negotiations are expected to take place over the summer, with an agreement potentially being reached once the frontman returns from Euro 2016 with England.
