Tottenham Hotspur agree summer move for Schalke's Lewis Holtby

Tottenham Hotspur announce that they have agreed a deal to sign Germany Under-21 captain Lewis Holtby from Schalke at the end of the season.

Tottenham Hotspur have announced that they have agreed a deal to bring Schalke 04 midfielder Lewis Holtby to the club at the end of the season.

The Germany Under-21 captain has impressed in the Bundesliga and was previously linked with other Premier League clubs including Arsenal and Liverpool.

The North London outfit have revealed that the midfielder has agreed to move to the White Hart Lane in July subject to a medical.

Holtby had the opportunity to play for England as his father was born in the UK but instead opted to compete for the German national side.
