Lewis Holtby, Dimitar Berbatov to swap clubs?

Tottenham Hotspur's Lewis Holtby and Fulham striker Dimitar Berbatov could reportedly trade clubs before Friday's deadline passes.

Lewis Holtby would reportedly consider a loan move to Fulham before the end of this month's transfer window.

The German midfielder has long been linked with a move away from Tottenham Hotspur, having struggled to force his way into Tim Sherwood's plans since he took charge in December.

However, if Fulham were to conclude the deal, they would have to pay the entirety of his £75,000 a week wages, according to The Telegraph.

With Holtby said to be prepared to make the switch across London, the report added that Fulham may consider allowing Dimitar Berbatov to move in the opposite direction, which would free up some funds.

Speculation recently claimed that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy was eager to re-sign the Bulgarian, who left Spurs for Manchester United in the summer 2008.
