Juventus reportedly consider Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen to be their top target for the summer transfer window.
Despite there being less than 12 months remaining on Eriksen's contract, Spurs were unable to attract a suitable offer before September 2, increasing the likelihood of the player leaving on a free transfer at the end of the campaign.
According to Tuttosport, Juventus are continuing to monitor the situation ahead of a potential approach at the beginning of 2020.
If, as expected, Eriksen does not agree fresh terms with the Premier League giants, the 27-year-old will be able to reach a pre-contract agreement with a foreign team.
Unless Spurs are prepared to consider bids which will be significantly below Eriksen's valuation in January, departing to a team in Spain or Italy appears to be the most likely solution.
Juventus are no strangers to the free-agent market, with Adrien Rabiot and Aaron Ramsey both moving to Turin in such circumstances earlier this year.
