Eric Dier signs new Tottenham Hotspur deal

Eric Dier signs a new five-year contract with Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham Hotspur have announced that defender Eric Dier has signed a new five-year deal with the club.

The 21-year-old, who joined Spurs from Sporting Lisbon last summer, has agreed a contract that will keep him at White Hart Lane until 2020.

The England Under-21 international, who can play as a full-back or centre-back, has largely been deployed as a holding midfielder so far this season.

"We are delighted to announce that Eric Dier has signed a new contract with the club which will run until 2020," Spurs stated on their official website.

Dier has scored three goals in 41 appearances for Spurs in all competitions.
