Report: Barcelona to step up interest in Christian Eriksen

Barcelona are reportedly eyeing Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen to replace Andres Iniesta in the summer.

Barcelona have reportedly put Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen at the top of their summer transfer list to replace Andres Iniesta.

The Spain international has been tipped to leave Camp Nou at the end of the season ahead of a possible move to Chinese Super League side Tianjin Quanjian.

Iniesta revealed earlier in April that he has made a decision over his future, which is expected to be revealed at the end of the month.

According to the Daily Star, the Blaugrana are bracing themselves to lose their captain, and as a result will move for Eriksen in the summer.

The report, however, suggests that bitter rivals Real Madrid are also interested in the Spurs talisman.

The Denmark international has scored 14 goals and provided 11 assists in all competitions for Tottenham this season.
