New Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas reportedly targets a move for Atletico Madrid striker Adrian.

New Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas is understood to be interested in a move for Atletico Madrid striker Adrian.

The 21-year-old Spanish international scored 15 goals for Los Rojiblancos last season following his switch from Deportivo La Coruna.

The forward is believed to have a £16m buy-out clause in his contract, according to The Mirror.

However, Adrian's arrival at White Hart Lane could mean the end of Jermain Defoe's time with Spurs.

Reading are thought to be waiting in the wings to swoop for the England international.
