Report: Emmanuel Adebayor to have contract cancelled

Emmanuel Adebayor could have his contract cancelled by Tottenham Hotspur, according to reports.

Emmanuel Adebayor is in talks to have his contract cancelled at Tottenham Hotspur, according to reports.

The Togolese has been linked with a move to Aston Villa despite rejecting the club in the summer.

Becoming a free agent would mean that Adebayor would be available to sign for a new club outside of the transfer window and The Mirror claims that the club are in negotiations to cancel the £100k-per-week deal.

The 31-year-old has played 106 times for Spurs, scoring 41 goals.
