Adama Traore has reportedly travelled back to Spain to undergo a medical with Barcelona ahead of re-joining the Catalan outfit on loan for the rest of the season.
The Spain international has been strongly linked with Tottenham Hotspur in recent weeks, but Xavi's side now appear to have won the race for the Wolverhampton Wanderers attacker.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Traore will move to Barcelona on loan for the remainder of the 2021-22 campaign, while there is a buy option of €30m (£25m) in the agreement.
Romano claims that the forward has already agreed a five-year pre-contract with the Catalan giants in the event that he is signed on a permanent deal at the end of the campaign.
The 26-year-old is allegedly already back in Spain to undergo a medical with his former club, and an announcement is thought to be imminent.
Traore previously represented Barcelona between 2004 and 2015, featuring for their first team on four occasions before leaving for Aston Villa.
