Tottenham Hotspur have moved above Everton in the Premier League with a narrow win against the Toffees.
Leon Osman started well and forced Hugo Lloris into making a good save when he curled a long-range effort towards goal early on.

Both sides pushed for the opening goal, and Kyle Walker wasted a good chance when he saw his cross cut out by the first man with two players waiting at the back post.
Kevin Mirallas spurned a decent opening when he dribbled past a number of Spurs defenders before opting to shoot over the bar with Steven Naismith better placed for a pass.
The first chance of the second half went Everton's way. Neat link-up play between Leighton Baines and Steven Pienaar on the left freed Mirallas, who beat Walker. He went for the far post, but saw his effort bend away from the target.
Emmanuel Adebayor then met a corner, but there was too much height on his header and it skimmed the top of the bar.
However, the striker soon broke the deadlock. Walker lofted in a free kick, and Adebayor's first touch took him away from Seamus Coleman, while his second saw him lash a low shot beyond Tim Howard.

Mousa Dembele collected possession midway inside the Everton half and rolled the ball into Adebayor's feet, who shot over the bar as Spurs looked to make the game safe.
Everton wanted a penalty as Etienne Capoue made a late challenge on Coleman, but Mark Clattenburg waved away their appeals.
