Harry Redknapp urges the Tottenham hierarchy to invest further in the playing squad in the summer.

Harry Redknapp wants Tottenham Hotspur to invest further in the playing squad in order to continue the club's development.

Spurs are currently fourth in the Premier League and are looking to finish the season strongly and secure Champions League qualification.

Should they do that, it would present the club with more financial clout and Redknapp is urging the Spurs hierarchy to use those riches to continue to improve the squad.

"Everything is in place for the club to keep progressing now, we've got a new training ground coming this summer.

"But when it comes down to it, you can have all the facilities in the world, but you have to keep investing in players," Redknapp said.

"I think Tottenham will do that next year. We will look to improve the team again next year."

Spurs face Swansea City in Premier League action on Sunday.
