Former Arsenal midfielder Paul Merson has claimed that Jose Mourinho regrets agreeing to become manager of Tottenham Hotspur.
Since replacing Mauricio Pochettino in October, Mourinho has won 10 of his 19 matches in charge in all competitions, which includes a 2-0 victory over Manchester City last weekend.
However, despite guiding the North London outfit up the Premier League standings, Merson feels that the Portuguese wishes that he had not taken the job.
The pundit told the Daily Star: "I said when he went there it would give them a lift and there would be a charm offensive - and he was all smiles for a while.
"But everyone knew it wouldn't last, didn't they? He's gone back to being Grumpy Mourinho again. And I don't see how he's improved them at all. Not one bit.
"He looks like he's thinking: 'What have I done coming here?' You don't see him high-fiving ball boys now do you?"
Spurs are currently on a six-match unbeaten streak in all competitions.
