Gareth Bale 'wants run of games at Spurs'

Gareth Bale reportedly feels that he will only improve during the second half of the season if he is given a run of games by Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho.

Tottenham Hotspur forward Gareth Bale is reportedly keen to be provided with a run of games in the starting lineup.

The 31-year-old has endured a stop-start second stint in North London, making just 10 starts and five substitute appearances in all competitions.

Bale missed out on an appearance against Everton in midweek, allegedly because he preferred to focus on doing strengthening work at the training ground.

However, according to The Times, the Wales international feels that his form will only improve if he is given regular game time by Jose Mourinho.

Bale has only been provided with 186 minutes of football since the start of 2021, resulting in the attacker coming in for criticism for the level of his performances.

The Real Madrid loanee has not featured for Spurs since January 31.
