Christian Eriksen hails Tottenham Hotspur's comeback

Christian Eriksen hails Tottenham Hotspur's second-half fightback as they beat Southampton 3-2 in the Premier League.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen has hailed their second-half performance as they overcame Southampton 3-2 at White Hart Lane.

Spurs were forced to come from two goals down, and the Denmark international has praised the team's display in the second period.

He told Sky Sports News: "Of course the second half was better.

"I think the whole of the first half, we tried but got a little speech [from manager Tim Sherwood] at the break and we were like new guys.

"We played like the manager wanted in the second half and we showed [our quality] way more."

Eriksen scored twice before Gylfi Sigurdsson hammered in a stoppage-time winner from around 25 yards.
