Tottenham Hotspur captain Michael Dawson believes that Sunday's win over Arsenal is "massive" for the club in the race for Champions League football.

Tottenham Hotspur captain Michael Dawson has claimed that Sunday's 2-1 win over Arsenal in the Premier League is a "massive" result in the race for Champions League football.

The victory at White Hart Lane has seen third-placed Spurs open up a seven-point gap over their local rivals.

"It's massive," Dawson told BBC Sport. "To go seven points clear is massive.

"We want to be back in the Champions League. The fans go home happy and they will be buzzing."

Spurs return to Europa League action on Thursday when they host Inter Milan in the first leg of their last-16 tie.
