Wales and Cardiff City striker Craig Bellamy has said that he is "proud" to be from the same country as Tottenham Hotspur winger Gareth Bale.
Bale has been in sparkling form for his club side in recent weeks and will be looking to carry that form into Wales's friendly against Austria on Wednesday.
Bellamy, who is also in the squad, believes that Bale is one of the best players in the world and his country should be thankful that they have such a talent.
"For him to be Welsh makes me feel immensely proud," said Bellamy.
"He is Welsh, no-one else can have him, he is from our country and he is someone we should be proud of and he makes me feel very proud when I watch him play.
"At this moment he is certainly one of the world's best players, no two ways about it."
Bellamy is in line to make his first appearance for Wales since last August.
