Gareth Bale has said that playing in a more central role up front is allowing him to improve his game.
The Welshman moved into a more traditional striker's role after Jermain Defoe went off injured in Tottenham Hotspur's win over West Bromwich Albion this afternoon.
The 23-year-old told Sky Sports News: "I enjoy it, I think it's a role that I'm learning season by season.
"It's a new experience, a chance to improve my game and give me another dimension.
"Results went out way yesterday, it was a big chance to capitlise on that and thankfully we did. All the lads worked thoroughly hard today and deserved the victory."
Bale scored Spurs' goal in their 1-0 victory, moving them to within a point of third-placed Chelsea in the Premier League table.
