How Tottenham Hotspur could line up against Fulham

Ahead of Tottenham Hotspur's trip to Fulham on Sunday, Sports Mole looks at how Mauricio Pochettino may set out his side.

Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to tighten their grip on third place in the Premier League when they make the short trip to Fulham on Sunday.

A day after Arsenal and Chelsea face off at the Emirates Stadium - the two sides directly below them in the table - Spurs lock horns with a struggling Fulham side in West London.

Mauricio Pochettino's side suffered a 1-0 loss to Manchester United in their most recent outing and must now make do without top scorer Harry Kane, potentially forcing the visitors into a tactical reshuffle this weekend.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how Tottenham could line up at Craven Cottage.

Possible TOT XI vs. FUL

Out: Victor Wanyama (knee), Harry Kane (ankle), Son Heung-min (international duty)
Doubtful: Eric Dier (appendicitis), Lucas Moura (knee), Moussa Sissoko (groin)

With Kane expected to miss around six weeks, Son away on international duty for the foreseeable future and Vincent Janssen not in Pochettino's plans, Fernando Llorente may be given a run in the side.

Kane has scored a league-high 119 Premier League goals, accounting for 36% of Tottenham's total of 333 goals, since Pochettino took charge in May 2014.

By comparison, Llorente has 16 goals in 55 top-flight appearances in English football, though just one of those has come in a Tottenham shirt.

Pochettino also has the option of using Lucas through the middle, but the Brazilian is carrying a knee injury and is a fitness doubt for this weekend, so it seems almost certain that Llorente will be brought in.

Wanyama remains absent and there are big question marks over the fitness of Dier and Sissoko, meanwhile, meaning that Christian Eriksen may have to drop into central midfield alongside Harry Winks.

A three-man backline seems the obvious call for Pochettino, with Danny Rose and Kieran Trippier expected to get the nod at wing-back if that is the case.
