Cole: 'England can win Euros with Redknapp'

Joe Cole insists that England could win Euro 2012 with Harry Redknapp in charge.

Lille midfielder Joe Cole has revealed that he wants Harry Redknapp to manage England at this summer's European Championships.

Redknapp is the overwhelming favourite to succeed Fabio Capello as Three Lions boss for the tournament.

Former Chelsea midfielder Cole still believes that he has what it takes to be a part of the England squad and hopes that his international chances will be increased with Redknapp in charge.

"For me, everything is going to depend on how I perform in the last part of the season. I dream about it," Cole told L'Equipe.

"Harry [Redknapp] knows me. He knows what I can do. With him we'll do something at the Euros. We can even win.

"Players are ready to die for Harry and he knows how to get the best of them. He had a hard time getting where he is now. At this level, tactical knowledge isn't enough. Players love Harry because Harry loves them. Harry is the man."

Redknapp gave Cole his professional debut when he was 17 years old at West Ham.
