Real Madrid skipper Sergio Ramos has described his side's 3-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley last night as "deceptive", insisting that they will "come back... very soon".
Spurs wrapped up qualification to the last-16 stage of the Champions League with the victory, two weeks after they had claimed a 1-1 draw from their trip to the Bernabeu.
For Los Blancos, the result capped a torrid few days, with a shock 2-1 loss at Girona at Sunday also having seen them fall eight points behind leaders Barcelona in La Liga.
"Real Madrid will put those who think we are dead in their place," a defiant Ramos told reporters after the game. "The result is deceptive, I don't take any credit away from Tottenham but we understand what pressure can do. We will come back and will do so very soon.
"Because of my experience of so many years being here, I know we have to keep calm. Despite what is happening, we are alive in our favourite competition.
"There were very good things we did that were tarnished by the result. You shouldn't point to any one player [for criticism], above all we always try to do things right."
Madrid have another chance to seal qualification to the knockout rounds when they visit Greek minnows APOEL on November 21.
