Sunday's MLS predictions including Philadelphia vs. Nashville

Sports Mole provides score predictions for both of Sunday's MLS playoff fixtures - Sporting Kansas City vs. Real Salt Lake and Philadelphia vs. Nashville.

Kansas vs. Salt Lake (Sunday, 8.00pm)

The magical ride for Real Salt Lake will make a return trip to Children's Mercy Park on Sunday as they take on Sporting Kansas City in the Western Conference semi-finals of MLS.

RSL advanced to this stage after a nerve-wracking 6-5 win over the Seattle Sounders in a penalty shootout on Tuesday, while the Wizards took out the Vancouver Whitecaps last weekend 3-1.

We say: Sporting Kansas City 2-1 Real Salt Lake

RSL are quickly becoming the feel good story of these MLS Cup playoffs, having kept their season alive in the most dramatic of circumstances in their previous two games, but their defence has been shaky all year, and with the status of Rusnak very much up in the air, it is hard to see them being able to pull off another miracle.

Philadelphia vs. Nashville (Sunday, 10.30pm)

Two of the top defensive units in the MLS regular season will battle each other on Sunday in the City of Brotherly Love, with a spot in the Eastern Conference Finals on the line when the Philadelphia Union host Nashville SC at Subaru Park.

Philly scored with two minutes remaining in extra time last Saturday to advance to the second round, while Nashville reacted well when going a goal down to Orlando City, winning 3-1.

We say: Philadelphia Union 1-2 Nashville SC (a.e.t)

There is very little difference between these sides, as Nashville only conceded two goals fewer than Philly in the regular season, and both teams are well-coached and extremely patient, while rarely allowing you a lot of good looks at the goal.
