Cesc Fabregas insists that the current Spain side want to win every tournament, ahead of the Confederations Cup, which begins this weekend.

Cesc Fabregas has insisted that the current Spain side want to win every title possible.

The reigning world and European champions begin their Confederations Cup campaign on Sunday.

Spain were beaten by United States of America in the semi-finals four years ago, and the Barcelona midfielder reiterated their desire to win this time.

"It seems a less significant competition, but for us it's very important," Fabregas told Marca.

"I'm very proud with what we've done but we need to continue. This team never settles. We want the Confederations Cup. This generation deserves to have all the titles.

"The more you win, the more you want. We have the advantage of knowing what it takes to win, what it means to win. The team is ready to continue along this line."

Spain face Uruguay in their opening match. Nigeria and Tahiti are the other two sides in Group B.
